Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 7968 is the host organization for the Nov. 11 Apache Junction All American Veterans Parade.

Apache Junction Mayor Chip Wilson has been selected as the grand marshal. He retired in 2018 from the Boeing Co. where he worked for 17 years as an electronic test equipment certification and repair technician; and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1990 after 22 years of service as an electronic test equipment technician. He was elected to and has been on the Apache Junction City Council since 2007 and was elected mayor in 2020. He served as president of the Superstition Horsemen’s Association 1999-2007 and is the president of the Arizona Horse Council since 2006.

Check-in for the parade will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Focal Point — same location as previous years — on the northeast corner of Apache Trail and Phelps Drive, according to a release.

Line-up begins at 8 a.m. with a flyover at 9:30 a.m. to kick off the parade.
