ADOT closure June 2-5 of eastbound Loop 202

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers that pavement improvements on Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway between Priest Drive and Loop 101 Price Freeway will require several weekend closures over the next two months.
The next weekend closure is:
Eastbound Loop 202 between Priest Drive and Loop 101 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 2, through 5 a.m. Monday, June 5.
The following eastbound Loop 202 ramps also will be closed: The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Van Buren Street/52nd Street and Sky Harbor Boulevard; and the northbound State Route 143 ramp to eastbound Loop 202.
For a detour, drivers can use McDowell Road or Rio Salado Parkway as alternatives for eastbound travel.
The next closures are:
Eastbound Loop 202, between Priest Drive and Loop 101, will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 9, through 5 a.m. Monday, June 12.
The following eastbound Loop 202 ramps also will be closed: The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Van Buren Street/52nd Street and Sky Harbor Boulevard; and the northbound State Route 143 ramp to eastbound Loop 202
Crews will mill the roadway to remove the existing asphalt, then repave and apply temporary striping to the lanes. Updates will be provided as the work progresses.
ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around maintenance personnel and equipment in all work zones.
