West Valley dealership donates to charity Thanksgiving Luncheon

Posted

Avondale Toyota made a $2,500 donation to the Phoenix First Apostolic Church to support its annual Thanksgiving Luncheon for individuals experiencing homelessness.

The event, set for Saturday, Nov. 16, will serve a hot Thanksgiving meal to those without a home or family to celebrate with during the holiday season.

“As a local independent business here in the West Valley, we understand how important it is to support this community. Avondale Toyota is proud to sponsor a program that impacts those experiencing homelessness during the Thanksgiving holiday,” said Kamal Charef, general manager of Avondale Toyota.

The Thanksgiving Luncheon, organized by the church's Fishers of Men ministry, aims to provide a warm meal and essential services to those in need. In addition to the meal featuring turkey, ham, and all the traditional sides, the event will offer a variety of donated items such as backpacks, socks, toiletries, sleeping bags, and gently used clothing.

Chartered buses will transport homeless individuals to the church from surrounding communities.
