Bob passed peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2021, shortly after his 92nd birthday. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Graduated from Wauwatosa H.S. and attended a Teachers College in Milwaukee.
Bob played the trumpet, was in a Stage Band entertaining guests @ the North Rim Lodge in the Grand Canyon. Today, on the North Rim Lodge Memories Wall, hang pictures of Bob and the Band. He was drafted and served in the U.S Army, with honorable discharge. Soon after, moved to Menomonee Falls, Wis. and met Marilee at a small German Bakery, and they were married on April 28th, 1956.
Bob worked in the Restaurant Industry/ Sales, in Milwaukee and Denver Co. After his career, Bob and Marilee retired to Sun City Arizona. His activities and interest were numerous, including Boy Scouts/Explorers, church, golf (hole in one in 2003!) playing cards, playing in the Sun City Bands, watching old movies and Greenbay Packer Games.
A highlight every Monday morning was meeting up with his buddies for a ROMEO breakfast (Retired Old Men Eating Out). Bob is survived by his wife of 65 yrs. Marilee and 3 children Barry, Tom, and Peg, and son-in-law Glen.
Thank you, family and friends, for being a part of Bob’s journey. He will be missed but never forgotten. Services will be held at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, Arizona 85024 on Monday, October 25th, 2021, at 1:00 PM.
Matt. 24-31 And he will send his angles with a great sound of a trumpet....
