The annual Litchfield Park Run, presented by Waste Management, will take place Saturday, Feb. 22.
The event will feature a flat street course lined with palm trees, starting and finishing in front of the Litchfield Park Recreation Center.
The race includes three competitive events: a 10K, 5K, and a 1-mile race. The 10K will start at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 1-mile fun run/walk at 8 a.m., the 5K at 9 a.m., and a second 1-mile race at 9:45 a.m.
Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group for the 10K, 5K, and 1-mile competitive races. Overall male and female winners in each of the races will receive special recognition plaques.
Ribbons will be given to all participants in the noncompetitive 1-mile fun run/walk. Pre-registered participants will receive an official race t-shirt and a raffle ticket for prize giveaways. Walk-up registrants will receive t-shirts, subject to availability.
Registration fees for the 10K, 5K, and 1-mile competitive races are $25 through Jan. 24. The price increases to $30 from Jan. 25 to Feb. 14 and to $40 from Feb. 15 to Feb. 22.
The entry fee for the 1-mile fun run/walk is $15 through Jan. 24, $20 from Jan. 25 to Feb. 14, and $25 from Feb. 15 to Feb. 22.
Race-day registration will also be available.
Participants can register online at RunSignup.com or in person at the Litchfield Park Recreation Center with cash or check. Early packet pickup will be available on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Recreation Center.
Food and drinks may be available, and post-race awards ceremonies will follow.
