Police found missing child in Litchfield Park

Posted

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office found missing 12-year-old Leon Curley after seeking public assistance on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Before being found, Curley was last seen at about 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 19 when he was dropped off at L. Thomas Heck Middle School located at 12448 W. Bethany Home Road in Litchfield Park.  Curley was scheduled to arrive back at his residence at 3:40 PM via school bus, but he never arrived.

In a statement released at 11:03 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20 Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office updated the community on their search stating that Curley has been located and is safe.

Community assistance to police search can provide increased search coverage and provide local perspective into cases that broader government services may lack.
