Posted

Make-A-Wish Arizona, the founding chapter of the international wish-granting organization, recently announced receipt of a $20,000 grant from Thunderbirds Charities.

The money will be used to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses in Arizona, the organization stated in a release.

Currently, more than 597 children are working with Make-A-Wish Arizona to plan custom and unique wish opportunities, even with COVID-19 safety restrictions in place.

“We are excited that Thunderbirds Charities sees the impact a wish can make on a child who is dealing with a critical illness,” said Elizabeth Reich, president and Chief Executive Officer of Make-A-Wish Arizona.

“A wish experience provides a child hope and joy when they need it most and this grant will assist us in continuing our mission, even during the pandemic,” she said.
