The Litchfield Elementary School District is now accepting open enrollment applications for the 2025-26 school year.
The district, which operates 16 elementary and middle schools in Litchfield Park, Buckeye, Avondale, and Goodyear and is expanding with a new school currently in design, invites Arizona families to apply for admission to any district school, subject to available space.
As part of its ongoing growth, the district implemented new attendance boundaries in August 2024, with a phased approach. Starting in the 2025-26 school year, Palm Valley Elementary School will expand to a K-7 model, offering additional open enrollment options.
"Our district remains a place where every staff member and student will succeed and feel welcomed, valued, cared for and challenged," said Superintendent Dr. Carter Davidson. "(It's) a new school year filled with opportunities to learn, grow and unlock our future together."
Admission is contingent on available space at each school. If a school reaches capacity, it will no longer accept open enrollment applications. In cases where demand exceeds available spots, a random selection process will be used, and applicants may be placed on a waitlist.
Open enrollment is valid for one school year, and a new application must be submitted each year. If a student moves outside the district’s boundaries, a new application must be submitted within 10 days of the address change.
Applications are available online through the district's website. To receive priority consideration, applications must be submitted by March 15. Late applications will still be considered if space becomes available.
