The P.W. Litchfield Heritage Center is offering an enrichment class titled "Create a Certified Wildlife Habitat at Home" at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15.
This class, led by expert desert gardener Rich Runyon, will teach participants how to transform their gardens into wildlife-friendly habitats. The session will focus on how to attract songbirds, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other small wildlife, no matter the size of the garden.
Participants will learn how to plant garden beds, create container gardens, or even transform their lawns into a natural landscape.
The class costs between $15.00 and $25.00, with limited space available.
The P.W. Litchfield Heritage Center, located at 13912 W. Camelback Rd., is open Wednesday through Friday and select Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The museum offers free entry and highlights the history of Litchfield Park, including the development of cotton cultivation in the region.
