The PW Litchfield Heritage Center announced Dr. Harry Winters’ recent presentation from its Heritage Lecture Series is now available for viewing on the center’s YouTube channel, which features a range of educational resources alongside its exhibits and programs.
Winters, who has more than 50 years of experience studying O’odham language and culture, is the author of "O’odham Place Names: Meanings, Origins, and Histories, Arizona and Sonora" and "Maricopa Place Names."
His research serves as a resource for tribal communities in Arizona, providing insights into their heritage.
The 51-minute YouTube video covers some of the same research.
The Litchfield Park Historical Society, which manages the Heritage Center, is committed to preserving local history and educating the community about Litchfield Park’s historical significance through various programs and exhibits.
