The Phoenix Harp Center will transition to new ownership on Jan. 1, 2025. Co-owners Stephen R. Hartman and Willard E. White announced the sale of the business to local musicians Drs. Heidi and Juan Hernandez.
The Phoenix Harp Center Founded in 2017, the Phoenix Harp Center offers instruments, accessories, and expert services to harpists across the Southwest. The center is known for its commitment to supporting harpists of all levels.
“It’s a complex business, and they’re buying a turnkey operation,” stated Hartman. “Heidi and Juan were our first choice for successors, and we’re thrilled to see the Phoenix Harp Center continue under their stewardship.”
The Hernandez’s, who live in Litchfield Park, are active members of the Phoenix music community. Dr. Heidi Hernandez is a professional harpist, while Dr. Juan Hernandez is a conductor and assistant dean of music at Grand Canyon University. Their experience in the music field and connection to the harp community have positioned them to lead the center.
“We are honored to step into this role and carry on the legacy of the Phoenix Harp Center,” stated Heidi Hernandez.
“This showroom and teaching center has been an integral part of the harp community, and we are excited to build upon the incredible foundation laid by Stephen and Willard.” Juan Hernandez stated, “As musicians and harpists, we understand the importance of this business to the Southwest harp community. We look forward to continuing to serve and expand its role as a regional hub for harp enthusiasts.”
Hartman will remain involved with the Phoenix Harp Center, offering private harp lessons and providing lever harp regulations as a certified technician. His continued presence will help ensure a smooth transition for both customers and employees.
The center’s location, contact information, and website will remain unchanged, with the showroom continuing to operate by appointment.
