Litchfield Elementary School District will not have meal service Monday, Sept. 7 due to the Labor Day holiday, but grab-and-go pickups will resume at 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Families with children ages 18 and younger also may pick up meals from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9 and Friday, Sept. 11. The district will return to its regular Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule the following week.
LESD’s U.S. Department of Agriculture-funded program, which provides free meals to children ages 18 and younger regardless of their school affiliation, has been extended through Dec. 31, the district announced.
Dreaming Summit and Palm Valley elementary schools, and Verrado and Wigwam Creek middle schools, serve as pickup sites and mobile teams distribute meals at multiple bus stops throughout the district.
