Hickman announces passing of predecessor Wilson

Posted

Maricopa County Supervisor Clint Hickman announced the passing of his predecessor and former Litchfield Park City Council member Max Wilson July 31.

Wilson moved to Arizona after serving in the United States Air Force, stopping at Luke Air Force Base where he worked as a civilian pivoted addressing housing concerns for airmen and their families. He started a career in real estate development that supported military families and the growth of the West Valley.

“Max Wilson was Mr. West Valley, and his influence can be felt across the growing and vibrant district we were both fortunate to represent,” Hickman said.

Wilson served as Maricopa County District 4 supervisor from 2002 to 2013 before retiring after facing health concerns.

“In succeeding him on the [Maricopa County Board of Supervisors], I’ve fought for many of the same things Max did. And like him, I’ve understood this position is not about the man or woman holding it. This is the people’s seat, and it always will be the people’s seat,” Hickman said, “I’m grateful for Max’s service to our community.”
