Abrazo West Campus is set to host its Annual Rescue Roundup on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to noon. This free community health and safety fair will take place at the East Parking Lot of the hospital, located at 13677 W. McDowell Road.
There will be a range of interactive activities for families, including CPR demonstrations, car seat safety checks, and vehicle extrication demonstrations. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore fire trucks, ambulances, and rescue helicopters, as well as meet local police and first responders, including a K-9 officer and a police SWAT vehicle.
Additional offerings include bike helmet distributions and a bicycle safety course, alongside free food and drinks.
The Rescue Roundup aims to foster community engagement and promote health and safety education said Linda Nofer, the Abrazo Health communications manager. Abrazo Health collaborates with emergency responders and public safety agencies from throughout the West Valley.
