Classic 1940s tunes highlight upcoming Swing Kings gig

Celebratory impersonator Lynn Roberts will join the AZ Swing Kings 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24 at The Wigwam Resort Front Lawn, 300 Wigwam Blvd., Litchfield Park.

Titled “A Tribute to Bob Hope and Radio Stars of the 1940s,” Mr. Roberts will be presenting the songs and antics of Bob Hope, Red Skelton, Jack Benny and Jimmy Durante.

The AZ Swing Kings is a 19-piece big band including a vocalist. The group consists of professional musicians who play the authentic sounds of the famous bands who represented the swing and jazz eras. The band is directed by Lenny King, former creator and leader of the Chicago Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra.

The Swing Kings are available for shows, dances, and entertainment for public and private events.
