Avondale to host fishing derby

The city of Avondale is hosting a fishing derby November 19 from 9 a.m. to noon at Festival Fields Park, 101 E. Lower Buckeye Road.

Families are invited to bring their fishing equipment and chairs to the event to compete in several competitions including biggest fish, smallest fish, heaviest fish, most fish, and more. Attendees over the age of 14 must obtain a fishing license in order to fish at any community park. To obtain a fishing license please visit www.AZGFD.org/license.
