A workforce development event recognizing graduates of the gener8tor Skills Accelerator program will take place Thursday, March 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Dysart Community Center, 14414 N. El Mirage Road, in El Mirage.
The Workforce Innovation and Graduation Celebration, hosted by Dysart Community Center and gener8tor in collaboration with Microsoft, will highlight the achievements of more than 70 program participants across Arizona, including those from the Goodyear area.
The gener8tor Skills Accelerator is a virtual training program that provides participants with career-focused skills and job placement assistance.
Since launching in 2020, the gener8tor Skills Accelerator has had more than 3,000 graduates, with an 82% graduation rate and 63% job placement rate within six months. The program provides training in fields such as project management, data analytics, sales and customer service, offering participants industry-recognized credentials and job placement assistance.
The initiative is supported by Microsoft scholarships and services from Dysart Community Center, offering training, mentorship and career resources.
“At gener8tor, we believe in the power of education and mentorship to create lasting economic impact,” stated Anne Nadel, vice president of skilling at gener8tor. “Our collaboration with Dysart and Microsoft is creating life-changing opportunities for Arizonans looking to enter or advance in the workforce.”
Dysart Community Center provides child care, tutoring, a food pantry and other community services to support program participants.
“This program is more than workforce training—it’s a pathway to a better future for our community members,” stated Annie Ansel of Dysart Community Center. “By working together, we’re helping individuals gain stability, confidence, and access to sustainable careers.”
The event will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by the official program at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
