The White Tanks Mountain Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is calling on patriotic businesses in the West Valley to take pride in their national spirit and be honored for flying the American flag.
As part of its newly launched Flag Committee initiative, the chapter is shining a spotlight on businesses and organizations that demonstrate their dedication to our country’s values by proudly displaying the U.S. flag.
“Flying the American flag is more than a gesture — it’s a powerful symbol of unity, pride, and respect for our nation’s history,” said WTM Chapter Regent Tammy Dollar. “We want to recognize and celebrate businesses that share this commitment and encourage others to join us in keeping this important tradition alive.”
Through the leadership of Flag Committee Chair Diana Jones, the chapter has already honored the following businesses:
“At the national level, DAR’s Flag Committee is committed to promoting respect for the U.S. flag, educating communities about its proper use, and ensuring it is displayed with dignity,” the group wrote in a news release. “Locally, the WTM Chapter Flag Committee is building on this mission by recognizing businesses that share these values and inspiring others to follow suit.”
The goals of the Flag Committee are clear:
The WTM DAR Chapter invites businesses and organizations across the West Valley to take this opportunity to showcase their pride in America. Whether a business is already flying the flag or want to start, the Flag Committee can guide it through proper flag protocols and celebrate its patriotic efforts.
To be considered for WTM DAR Chapter Flag Committee recognition, contact the chapter via email at whitetankmountainsdar@gmail.com.
