Salt River Tubing’s 41st anniversary ‘Rocking Rodeo Roundup’ May 15

Join Salt River Tubing at its 41st Anniversary Rocking Rodeo Roundup celebration on Saturday.

Salt River Tubing’s hoedown is 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. May 15 with a cost of $19 plus tax and fees per person or tube which includes tube rental, shuttle bus ride and free customer parking at Salt River Tubing. Free cowboy bandannas while supplies last. Call 480-984-3305 or go to saltrivertubing.com for event details, according to a release.

Salt River Tubing is in Tonto National Forest, seven minutes from Loop 202 East and the North Power Road Exit 23A.

Saturday’s event will offer live entertainment with KMLE Country 107.9 radio station on-site, cowboy line dancing, pony races, “steer” lassoing and free giveaways.

“Looking for a unique, western adventure in the great outdoors? Salt River Tubing’s Rocking Rodeo Roundup event embodies the old West with ‘stage coach shuttles’ to and from the Lower Salt River in Tonto National Forest. Cowboy fun for everyone,” Henri Breault, president and CEO of Salt River Tubing, said in the release.

Western attire is optional for tubers; however, Salt River Tubing will be awarding free tube rental passes — valid on return visit — for the best cowboy and cowgirl tuber costumes. The “More Teens in the Woods” event is aligned with the USDA Forest Service’s commitment in meeting the challenge of reduced youth involvement in outdoor activities, the release states.

Salt River Tubing is open seven days a week with safety protocols in place. A face mask must be worn during the tube rental/tube return transactions, shuttle bus transport to/from the Salt River, and shuttle bus loading zones.
