This new experience hosted by the Avondale Parks and Recreation Department will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Alamar Park, 4155 S. El Mirage Road.

Join the fun as exhibitors and city departments line the multi-purpose field handing out candy and goodies to youth participants. This family-friendly event includes crafts, face painting, balloons, DJ music, food trucks, a showing of the movie “Casper” at the amphitheater, and a walking trick-or-treating adventure featuring all City of Avondale’s Departments.

Free to attend. Activities and trick-or-treating lines will wrap up at 7 p.m.

Parking at Alamar Park is on a first-come, first-served basis. The city encourages guests to walk over from the surrounding neighborhood, carpool with friends, or use designated overflow parking across the street along Alamar Road following the pedestrian crossing, or at Lakin Elementary School parking lot and walking over to the park.
