Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park is celebrating Armed Forces Day in a big way with “Red, White and ZOO!,” a special event on Saturday, May 17, to thank those who serve.
The first 1,000 active-duty military personnel to present a valid ID at the entrance will receive free admission, along with entry for up to three guests. The promotion also includes unlimited free rides throughout the day.
“Red, White and ZOO!” is timed to honor Armed Forces Day, a national holiday observed annually on the third Saturday of May. Established in 1950, the day recognizes the service and sacrifice of those currently serving in the U.S. military.
Wildlife World Zoo, located in the West Valley, features Arizona’s largest collection of exotic and endangered species, with more than 600 animals on display. In addition to its animal exhibits, the zoo offers a variety of family-friendly attractions, rides and daily shows.
Regular admission prices are $52 for adults and $29 for children ages 3 to 12. Children 2 and under are free. Military members typically receive a $6 discount with valid ID, but the "Red, White and ZOO!" promotion offers an even greater opportunity for families to enjoy the park at no cost.
