Litchfield Park welcomes new council members

Litchfield Park Mayor Thomas Schoaf distributes certificates of election to Andrew Fraser, Suzanne Allen, and Ron Clair who are joining the city council in January 2025.
The Litchfield City Council presented certificates of election Sept. 19 to councilmembers who will be active members of the council in January 2025.
The certificates were distributed following the Aug. 9 Canvass of Vote, which accepted the results of the July 30 primary election.
Three Litchfield Park City Council seats were up for vote in the July 30 primary election. The seats are filled by candidates representing Litchfield Park with Suzanne Allen, Ron Clair and Andrew Fraser.
According to the Maricopa County Elections Department, Allen led polls with 35.11% Clair followed with 32.75% of the vote and Fraser with 31.58%
The new council members are elected for four-year terms. They will be responsible for passing citywide ordinances, addressing community concerns and overseeing projects. Council members guide local policy and the operations of municipal services.
