Litchfield Park prepares for youth fall sports

Registration for the City of Litchfield Park’s 2025 fall youth sports leagues opens at 8 a.m. Monday, July 7. Co-ed basketball, flag football and tee ball will be offered for children ages three to 14.

The leagues are recreational and focus on teaching fundamental skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. The cost is $77 for residents and $97 for nonresidents.

Basketball is open to ages four to 14, with games played on Saturdays at Wigwam Creek Middle School and Litchfield Elementary School. Teams will practice twice per week, with times and locations determined by volunteer coaches. If indoor gyms are unavailable, games will be moved outdoors.

Tee ball is offered for ages three to six, and a coach-pitch division is available for ages seven to eight. Games will be held on Saturdays at Staggs Park and Turtle Park, with weekday practices.

Flag football, for ages six to 10, will also take place on Saturdays. Games will begin at Scout Park and move to Aleppo Park later in the season. Teams will practice once per week.

An additional co-ed baseball league for ages seven to eight will play games on Tuesdays or Thursdays, with practices on Mondays or Wednesdays. Games will be held at Jackie Robinson Ball Field beginning Sept. 2.

Games for all other leagues begin Saturday, Sept. 27, with practices starting earlier in September.

Registration is available in person at the Litchfield Park Recreation Center, 100 S. Old Litchfield Road or online at litchfieldpark.gov.
