The City of Litchfield Park will host its monthly Arts in the Park concert Sunday, Dec. 15 at The Wigwam. The event, which is free and open to the public, begins 6 p.m. on the front lawn of the resort, located at 300 E. Wigwam Blvd.

The concert will feature a performance by Sandra Bassett and her band, September Soul. Bassett, a singer and musician based in Phoenix, will present a program that includes jazz, R&B, and Motown music, with a special focus on holiday-themed selections.

Bassett has performed across the United States and internationally. In addition to her vocal performances, she plays the piano, organ, and alto saxophone. Her 2018 album, "Just for You," features jazz and R&B standards.

Bassett is also the CEO of the Phoenix Center for the Arts and has led workshops and lectures on jazz at venues including the Musical Instrument Museum and Tempe Center for the Arts.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Beverages will be available for purchase at the event.
