Litchfield Park family invites community to view Memorial Day light display

The Arndt family of Litchfield Park invites the community to drive by over the Memorial Day weekend to view a light show honoring America’s fallen.

From 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, May 28 through Monday, May 31, a continuous loop of lights will be displayed on three matrix boards at 4638 N. Village Parkway. Free flags will be given out while supplies last.

“Join us to pay tribute to the courageous men and women who gave their lives for our country,” Valerie Arndt said. “May we never forget that freedom isn’t free.”

Ms. Arndt said this is the family’s first year to set up a Memorial Day display.

“My husband and son built the boards and did a Christmas display this past Christmas,” she said. “It was so much fun seeing the people come out and enjoy it that we thought we would try it for Memorial Day, especially since we are so close to Luke Air Force Base and there are so many military families in the area.”
