Youth flag football and basketball leagues in Litchfield Park are open for registration.
Applications are open until Aug. 19 with residents paying $77 per player and nonresidents paying $97. Games are only played on Saturdays and practices are scheduled throughout the week by volunteer head coaches. The athletic seasons each start with a coach meeting Sept. 7 lasting until the last scheduled game on Nov. 9.
Flag football has Pee Wee and Junior divisions accepting players ages six to 10. The Youth Basketball league hosts Itty Bitty, Dribbler, Rookie, Junior and Senior teams with age ranges between four and 14 years old.
Litchfield Park was awarded the Better Sports for Kids Quality Program Provider designation by the National Alliance for Youth Sports, which is a seal of commitment to quality based on a review process that judges safety and the quality of the youth sports environment. The seal is recognized for the 2023 and 2024 athletic seasons.
