The previous co-owner died from COVID complications in January

Utah-based Leavitt Group has announced new leadership in its Buckeye and Goodyear offices after the death of one of its partners in early 2021.
Charlene Powers-Broadbent was vice president and co-owner of the Powers-Leavitt Insurance Agency for 30 years until her death in January due COVID-19 complications.
Her death was a “deep and far-reaching loss” for the company and many West Valley residents, the company said in a July 26 statement.
The Leavitt Group, which has more than 115 locations run by independently affiliated insurance agencies across the U.S., has named Tim Woodruff as the new managing partner for the Powers-Leavitt offices.
Woodruff has been with the company since 1996, and most recently served as a principal and executive director of Leavitt Insurance Agency in Las Vegas.
Charlene’s husband Jay Broadbent, who continues to work for Powers-Leavitt as a co-owner and broker, said he’s excited to welcome Woodruff as part of the team to “continue the legacy of Charlene and Powers Leavitt Insurance,” he said in a statement. “Tim’s leadership experience and insurance knowledge will be a great asset for the agency and will make him a great mentor for newer members of our producer team.”
Woodruff said he is eager to begin his new leadership position in the West Valley and hopes to further Powers-Broadbent’s work at the company.
“Charlene was such a dynamic person and cared about her clients,” Woodruff said in a statement. “I hope to build on what she’s already established.”
Staff, location and contact information for the Buckeye and Goodyear Powers-Leavitt offices will remain the same.
