Heather Layne, a Christian music artist, stops in Arizona on her national tour to promote her latest EP, “Shine.”
Layne said her songwriting journey began in her late 20s as a therapeutic outlet following domestic abuse. Through her music and her faith, Layne said she found way to process and heal from her experiences.
Her tour will make six stops in churches across Arizona. The dates and venues are as follows:
Aug. 29 at Compass Community Church in Goodyear
Aug. 30 at Passion Church in Casa Grande
Sept. 3 at Amazing Grace Christian Church in Glendale
Sept. 5 at Desert Hills Presbyterian Church in Scottsdale
Sept. 6 at Calvary Chapel Fourteensix in Surprise
Sept. 8 at Mount Hope Assembly of God in Wickenburg
Compass Church in Goodyear is part of the Compass Church network. They offer various services, including worship, Bible studies and community outreach.
Among their programs is a recovery group designed to support individuals facing challenges such as addiction, grief and personal struggles. This group provides an environment for sharing experiences, receiving guidance and finding encouragement through faith-based principles and community support.
The recovery group will host Layne’s first concert in Arizona during their regular 6:30 p.m. meeting time at 16060 W. Van Buren St.
