Hals: Do you really still believe in Trump?

Posted

Many supporters interviewed at the recent Arizona rally were asked if Trump could win. Some said he won in 2020 and wouldn’t listen to the conclusion of Arizona election officials.

There was no evidence of extensive fraud that Trump claims.

We know that Trump lied or misled claims over his four years in office. We know many of his followers, such as legislators, governors in his party and religious leaders, are giving false information. During Trump’s tumultuous term, he had accumulated 30,573 untruths during his presidency.

Trump reminds us of a car salesperson selling a junk vehicle. You know the vehicle is junk. He insists that it’s a nice vehicle. Keeps telling you that. Using cunning tricks and being deceptive. Suppose you don’t buy it; are you not a loyal customer?

Trump is notoriously unimpressed by people who are not loyal to him. So why buy what Trump is selling as he stands on his pedestal?

During the rally, Trump endorsed Kari Lake for governor, no experience in government, and Mark Finchem for Secretary of State. Ms. Lake and Mr. Finchem would not answer any questions about 2020. Do you believe there was a conspiracy on Jan. 6? Answer: “Trump won.”

Trump lost in Arizona by about 10,500 votes, but his claim of tens of thousands of fraudulent votes is unsubstantiated.

Why does Trump desire to get back in the presidency? Trump’s goal was invalidating the U.S. presidential election in plain defiance of the Constitution. What’s next? Trump has said, “I’m a cheerleader for this country. I love our country.”

The former president Trump spent four years promoting the Donald Trump show, railing against Washington, the federal government, the news media, and anyone who didn’t agree with him. The real reason he is going to run again is to stay ahead of prosecutors. Presently, Trump is under investigation in a number of states.

Trump could have saved millions of lives if only in January 2020 if he told the truth about COVID-19. He knew it was a deadly and easily transmissible disease. If only he had taken the lead, advising citizens to wear a mask until a vaccine would be ready.

All his Republican followers would have worn a mask, and the country would be better off. Maybe, Trump would have been reelected. Trump took the stupidity route to tell it would disappear soon, perhaps injecting bleach ... not telling [the truth] cost the lives of millions.

Trump’s business has had four bankruptcies in 1991, 1992, 2004 and 2009. Trump’s golf courses, hotels, airline, TV shows, and office buildings have failed because of management.

Trump stiffed contractors, dishwashers and plumbers who have worked for him. He owes hundreds of thousands of dollars to businesses on unpaid bills.
