The Goodyear Arts & Culture Division is inviting artists to participate in the upcoming “Space Odyssey” exhibit, offering an opportunity to explore the mysteries of outer space through their artwork.
Founded in 2006 by the Goodyear City Council, the Arts and Culture Division integrates art into public spaces, manages Goodyear’s public art program, and works with both private and governmental sectors to support artistic initiatives. The division also works to highlight the impact of arts and culture on the local economy and quality of life.
The “Space Odyssey” exhibit encourages artists to explore the unknown aspects of outer space. Artists will see their work hung in the Georgia T. Lord Library in Goodyear from March to July.
The theme invites various interpretations, from abstract depictions of galaxies to representations of space exploration.
Important dates for artists include:
Artists must be at least 18 years old and certify that their work does not include any assets generated by AI.
Dalton Attig, Goodyear Recreation Programmer, noted the importance of these exhibitions in connecting the community and enhancing the city’s cultural offerings.
“The arts pull all of us together, that’s what the event is all about,” Attig said.
This exhibition offers local artists the chance to showcase their work and contribute to Goodyear’s cultural landscape.
