Goodyear Recreation Campus passes go on sale May 1

New facility slated to open in July

Residents looking forward to utilizing the Goodyear Recreation Campus when it opens in July can purchasing passes for the facility beginning Saturday, May 1.

The 2021 passes are $75 each for both individuals and families, and were priced in honor of the city’s 75th anniversary.

The promotion, which runs through the end of the year, applies to Goodyear residents only; nonresidents will have an opportunity to purchase passes for full price at a later date.

Passes may be purchased online, in the Goodyear Recreation mobile app (available for download May 1 from the App Store or Google Play) or in person at the city’s recreation office, 3075 N. Litchfield Road.

Pass holders will have access to the recreation center’s two-court multipurpose gymnasium, elevated walking track, fitness/weight training areas, introductory group fitness classes; to the aquatics center’s lazy river, play pool, eight-lane lap pool, cabanas, shade and seating areas and 28-foot dual slide; and to introductory group fitness classes.

In addition to a 30-acre park at the site, 420 S. Estrella Parkway, the public will have free access to a teen activity space, a lounge area with Wi-Fi, restrooms and an outdoor patio.

The park will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Recreation center hours will be 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

For more information on passes and what the center will offer, visit goodyearaz.gov/reccampus. Visitors to the site also can take a survey on programs they would like to see offered and subscribe to receive information on programs and the facility’s grand opening.
