Goodyear police seeking tips related to February bicycle tragedy

Goodyear Police are seeking additional leads for the vehicle incident that killed two and injured 19 bicyclists in February. 

The incident occurred about 8 a.m. Feb. 25.

Goodyear Police were called to the scene of a fatal crash involving a large group of adult bicyclists who were hit by a white pick-up truck on the Cotton Lane bridge over the Salt River. 

As a result of the incident, two bicyclists lost their lives and 19 others were injured. Police arrested and booked into jail the driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Pedro Quintana-Lujan. 

Quintana-Lujan was booked on two counts of manslaughter, three counts of aggravated assault, 18 counts of endangerment, and two counts of causing serious injury or death by a moving violation.

Quintana-Lujan has posted bond and is awaiting a future court date.
