Goodyear PD uses AI to generate image of suspect in attempted kidnapping

Posted

The Goodyear Police Department has generated an AI image of the suspect in an attempted kidnapping that occurred earlier this month.

The department made use of “groundbreaking Artificial Intelligence and forensic art” to come up with the image that was based on witness and victim statements, police stated in a release.

The attempted kidnapping occurred when a student was walking near Village Boulevard and Watkins Street when a man grabbed her arm and attempted to pull her toward Hilton Street, police said. The girl escaped, ran home and told her parents who called police.

The suspect is described as 6-feet tall, 200 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information should call the Goodyear Police Department at (623) 932-1220.
