The Estrella Art Gallery Committee is inviting local artists to submit work for its upcoming fall exhibition, “Travels,” which will showcase artwork inspired by the theme of exploration, adventure, and imagination. Applications open Tuesday, July 8 and will be accepted through Tuesday, August 12.
The show encourages artists to interpret the concept of travel broadly, from real-world journeys and cherished destinations to imagined landscapes and emotional experiences.
According to the committee, artwork may be literal, abstract or fantastical, with all mediums welcome. Accepted formats include painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, fiber art, jewelry, woodworking, and more.
The Estrella Art Gallery, located at the Presidio Residents Club, features rotating exhibitions by Estrella-based artists. The gallery is overseen by a committee chartered by the Estrella Joint Committee Board of Directors.
Estrella is a residential community situated in the Sierra Estrella Mountains, approximately 25 miles southwest of downtown Phoenix. It offers more than 500 acres of parks and open space, including 72 acres of lakes, hiking trails, and two resident clubs, the Presidio and Starpointe.
More information about the fall show and application process will be released in the coming weeks.
