Erwin Leroy (Erv, “Holly”) Hollenbeck

Erwin, 88, of Sun City West died Wednesday, May 13 of heart complications.

He was born in Nevada, IA. He and his first wife Betty (Schoenwalder) raised their family in Waukesha, WI where he worked as an accountant and plumbing contractor. He volunteered in city government, civic organizations, and the church. He earned his associates degree after taking courses at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and in the state of Wisconsin, and he attended John Muir High School and College Magnet in Pasadena, CA.

He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Retired to Sun City with second wife Pam (Gehling) in 1993.

Survived by daughters Debra Egloff (Mark), Vicki Hollenbeck (Kay), and Roxanne Moreau (Chris); grandchildren: Benjamin Egloff (Amanda), Kaylin Egloff, Kelly Bruxvort (Ryan), Casey Torp, Cody Hollenbeck, Christopher Derksen (Elissa); and 6 great-grandchildren. Also survived by one brother, Jack Hollenbeck (Helen), 3 neices and 2 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo Hollenbeck and Leotta Halverson, and brother Bob.

Memorial gifts can be made to Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Sun City West, AZ, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will take place in the fall at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church.
