Construction is underway to build a walkable downtown around Goodyear Civic Square.
The area that will become Goodyear’s downtown, known as GSQ, stretches from Interstate 10 north to Encanto Boulevard and 150th Drive to Bullard Avenue.
“What we see now is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg of what is to come,” said Goodyear Mayor Joe Pizzillo. “I’m excited about the new businesses we will be announcing soon at GSQ.”
Some recently announced businesses coming to the GSQ area are:
The Stillery
High Tide Seafood Bar & Grill
Baccus Wine Bar
Copper & Sage, Spitz
Mediterranean Street Food
Shake Shack
Over Easy
Yard Milkshake Bar
F45 Training
Miyu Nails and Spa
These coming businesses, partnered with the already existing Harkins Theatres, BJ’s Brewery, Cheddar’s scratch kitchen and the Georgia T. Lord branch of the Maricopa County library system, are anticipated to build consolidated public services, gathering places for public events through mixed-use development, city officials said.
