Avondale shooting leaves one person in critical condition

A shooting that happened on early Tuesday morning left one person in critical condition in Avondale.

According to the Avondale Police Department, the incident that occurred on Tuesday morning happened on Central Avenue and Overlin Lane, near the MC-85 intersection.

"On March 14th, 2023 at about 3:29 a.m., the Avondale Police Department responded to a shooting in the area of Central Ave. & Overlin Ln. Upon arrival, Avondale Police learned a single victim suffered a gun-shot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical care in extremely critical condition," officer Jaret Redfearn stated.

He also stated that detectives from the Avondale Police Criminal Investigations Bureau are currently investigating.
