The city of Avondale invites families to sleep out under the stars in its first-ever overnight “campout” in April.
The event will take place at the city’s newly unveiled Friendship Park and will include activities like a scavenger hunt, s’mores and fishing lessons.
Organizers will also screen Disney/Pixar flick Onward.
The campout will begin April 23 at 4 p.m. and end April 24 at 9 a.m.
The cost is $40 for a family of four and $10 for any additional family members. Activities and a light dinner and light breakfast will be provided. Families must bring their own sleeping bags and tents.
