Agua Fria Union High School District case count

The district is reporting 91 active COVID-19 cases as of Monday, Aug. 16 at 12 p.m.

Last week Friday, case numbers were fluctuating. At one point the total was at 79 cases, and just hours later the total was 72. At Desert Edge, for example, cases moved from 20 to just 13 reported cases in one afternoon.

According to district spokesperson Alexis Moreno, those case numbers from Friday "might have been a guess," and that going forward only confirmed positive cases will be added to the dashboard.

As of Monday at 12 p.m., 72 of the reported COVID cases are of students and 19 are of staff.

  • Desert Edge: 15 total cases, 14 students, 1 staff
  • Canyon View: 30 total cases; 25 students, 5 staff
  • Verrado: 14 total cases; 12 students, 2 staff
  • Millennium: 16 total cases; 12 students, 4 staff
  • Agua Fria: 14 total cases; 9 students, 5 staff
  • Department site (location unspecified): 2 total cases; both cases are staff

This is a steady increase in cases from Aug. 9, when the district reported  33 COVID cases.
