64% of Avondale Elementary district voters say yes to override continuation

Avondale Elementary School District’s bid to continue its 15% maintenance and operation override appears to have passed by a healthy margin, with 64% of voters in the district that serves more than 5,700 preschool through eighth-grade students in Avondale and Goodyear voting in favor, according to unofficial Maricopa County election results.
