A administrator at a career and technical education school district in the west Valley has been arrested on multiple felony counts of child sex crimes, Peoria Police said.
Christopher “CJ” Williams, 44, assistant superintendent for student services at Western Maricopa Education Center was arrested on multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation of a minor, and one count of assault, police say.
Police arrested the West-MEC administrator Sept. 28, at about 1:15 p.m., on three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, three counts of sexual abuse, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, and one count of assault. Charges may be added or amended as this is an ongoing investigation.
The investigation began Sept. 25, when Peoria Police were notified of an alleged sex offense incident. Police learned Williams was having an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile female teenager.
He was taken into custody without incident. Williams was processed at the Peoria Police Department, and later booked into the Maricopa County Jail.
Peoria Police Department's special victims unit detectives are actively investigating this incident and encouraging those with any information regarding this case or any additional victims to contact Detective Ochoa at 623-773-8383.
