A Think Tank event hosted by West-MEC, which has a Glendale campus at 5487 N. 99th Ave., takes place 8-11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at Pendergast Learning Center, 3841 N. 91st Ave.

In an effort to fix the talent gap employers are looking for new solutions to their workforce needs. Jennifer Mellor, chief innovation officer, for the Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation will lead in learning about Talent Pipeline Management (TPM), a demand-driven, employer-led approach to closing the talent gap. Katherine Pappas, director of workforce strategy, for PipelineAZ will engage in a conversation around the importance of a common hiring language and tools that support employers and job seekers in finding each other.

Two local employers that have participated in TPM share how they have validated appropriate training programs and develop stronger partnerships with the top talent producers by offering incentives such as brand recognition, internships, and scholarships.

Breakfast 8-8:30 a.m. is followed by the presentation.

Admission $25.
