Editor's note: A correction to this article has been made to update Ms. Bassett's position as CEO with Phoenix Center For The Arts.

A special show for Mother’s Day from one of the Valley’s most active singers is coming to Glendale.

Sandra Bassett and her band will perform a Mother’s Day Special, with jazz, rhythm and blues, and Motown selections. The show starts at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 14 at Westside Blues & Jazz, 17045 N. 59th Ave.

Bassett performs regularly around the Valley and is the CEO of Phoenix Center For The Arts. In addition to her signature singing, she plays the keys, organ and alto saxophone.

Bassett will be joined on stage in Glendale by Alex Holland (sax), Steve Gripp (guitar), Michael Williams (bass), Kaelin Porter (keys), and Jarred Bowens (drums).
