With two West Valley locations, Sands Chevrolet is offering a free service to protect Valley residents from COVID-19.
Prioritizing those who are hospitalized or at home with COVID-19, and their families, Sands will make arrangements to pick up their vehicles anywhere in the Valley. The car will be taken back to the dealership where it will be completely steam sanitized, including the vents and air conditioning system, with a commercial, high-pressure steamer at 212-250 degrees.
It will then be vacuumed, washed and returned within 24 to 48 hours. Sands will also conduct a free multi-point inspection of the car and provide a free steam-sanitized loaner, if necessary.
Sands Chevrolet is located in Glendale at 5418 Grand Ave., and in Surprise at 16991 W. Waddell Road.
Sands started providing this free service in March to its customers, healthcare workers at HonorHealth, Banner, Dignity Health, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Abrazo Health System and the community-at-large. Since then, Sands has provided the steam sanitizing service free to more than 3,500 Valley residents, which amounts to $175,000 in free services to the community.
While Sands is prioritizing COVID patients and their families, the steam sanitizing service remains free to the entire community.
