(City of Glendale)

Special to Independent Newsmedia
The 17th Annual Serve Day in Glendale goes from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11.
The city’s community engagement division is seeking teams of volunteers to participate in a citywide street clean-up. Teams should have 10-20 volunteers and will be given a 1-mile stretch of road to pick up trash and debris.
Tools will be provided to complete the project (trash pickers, trash bags, gloves and safety vests). Team leads will be able to pick up the tools a few days before the event.
Due to volunteers working close to the street, volunteers must be at least 10 years old.
Volunteers should wear light colored clothing, closed-toed shoes, a hat and sunscreen.
