The consent agenda features a motion to approve payroll voucher No. 27 in the amount of $1,122,896.84 for fiscal year 2019-20, payroll voucher No. 1 in the amount of $869,605.81 for Fiscal Year 2020-21, and expense vouchers on the voucher summary sheet in the amount of $3,509,615.48 for Fiscal Year 2019-20.
Other consent items include approving addenda contracts of compensation for duties assigned to staff district wide for the current year; authorization to enter into additional cooperative purchasing contracts for fiscal year 2020-21; and approval of additional multiple year IFB/RFP contract renewals for fiscal year 2020-21.
There also will be a motion to approve an intergovernmental agreement between DVUSD and the Arizona Governor’s Office of Education for Project Momentum for fiscal year 2020-21. The board approved Project Momentum in April 2018. This agreement adds the budget of $941,132 for the 2020-21 school year.
There will be a mongtion to approve memorandum of understandi between DVUSD and Southwest Behavioral & Health Services for high school wellness counselors, a Vista Peak Counselor, and general behavioral and health S]services to students andfamilies within the district for fiscal year 2020-21.
A Tuesday evening action item includes a Spanish immersion curriculum adoption. The board may approve and adopt all new textbooks and supplementary materials in the amount of $80,460.
Also on the agenda is the district approving the following donations: $10,000 donated by the Larry Fitzgerald Foundation to Desert Sky Middle School, 5130 W. Grovers Ave., Glendale, to use to support reading with the purchase of books for the school; one $800 Home Depot gift card donated by Heart of America Foundation to Village Meadows Elementary School, 2020 W. Morningside Drive, to purchase soil, mulch and plant for planters on the campus; and $3,600 donated by an anonymous donor to the Food & Nutrition Department to be used to support student meal accounts.
