Open mic event heading to Glendale

Creative Drill Sergeants and Arizona Consortium for the Arts Charity present monthly open mics on the first Saturday of each month, and the next edition comes to Glendale.

The free event takes place 3-6 p.m. Saturday, May 1 at The 44 Sports Grill and Nightlife, 4494 W. Peoria Ave.

This is a chance for artists, writers and performers in all genres, spanning all artistic disciplines and cultural representations, to get together, meet one another, read, present, share, learn, celebrate and enjoy. Bring your art, poetry, music, dance, songs and stories to share.

Social distancing and safety measures will be in place.
