A Midwestern University professor is hosting an online workshop for those dealing with the mental health implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Penny Stuart Zaddack of Glendale's Midwestern University will help participants  learn how to identify the psychological effects of a pandemic, social distancing and quarantine during a virtual lecture 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Officials said participants can use the workshop to discover practical strategies for handling these mental effects and explore ways to find motivation to take action to manage mental health issues during these unprecedented times.

This program is part of the Midwestern University Virtual Community Lecture Series,  hosted by the Glendale Library.
