In-person registration for little league in Glendale Saturday

Arrowhead Little League will host registration in person this Saturday.

Sign-ups for the spring baseball and softball seasons take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 15 outside of the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance at Arrowhead Towne Center, 7700 W. Arrowhead Towne Center.

Spring baseball features the following age/skill divisions: A-Coach Pitch (ages 4-6); AA-Kid Pitch (7-8); AAA (8-10); and Majors (10-12). Spring softball features: Coach pitch division for girls (ages 6-7); Minor Kid pitch division for girls (8-10); and Major Kid Pitch division for girls (10-12).

Regular registration rates apply through Tuesday, Feb. 1. After Monday, Jan. 31, registration will still allow for signing up, however, a late fee of $25 will be added.

Tryouts for the AAA and Majors divisions take place on Saturday, Jan. 29 and Sunday, Feb. 6 at the Foothills Sports Complex, 19073 N. 57th Ave., Glendale. All players need to try out but only one day at a designated time.

Majors division is for ages 10-12 while AAA is open for ages 8-10.

All 11- and 12-year-old players must try out for Majors. If a player is 11 and 12 years old, they are only eligible to be drafted by a Majors team.

Majors tryout times:

  • 8:30 a.m.: 12-year-olds
  • 9 a.m.: 11-year-olds
  • 10 a.m.: 10-year-olds wanting to play Majors only.

AAA tryout times:

  • 10:30 a.m.: 10-year-olds
  • 11:30 a.m.: 9-year-olds
  • Noon: 8-year-olds

All players that register for the AAA or Majors division that are not a returning player from Spring 2021 for that division must try out.
