Golf tourney in Glendale will raise money for students’ travel

A golf tournament to support Pendergast Elementary School District’s upcoming student trip to New York and Washington D.C. is coming to Glendale.

The Pendergast 8th grade Superintendent Student Council Golf Tournament tees off at 7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at Desert Mirage Golf Course, 8710 W. Maryland Ave.

The tournament will raise money for 23 eighth grade Pendergast student leaders and seven chaperones to travel to both cities in February. The group will have the opportunity to visit universities, historic sites, and tourist destinations.

Deadline to register for the golf tournament is Monday, Nov. 14.
